A magnetic mounting system on the bottom of the camera puts it in landscape orientation, but the protective cage makes it easy to orient the camera vertically for sharing it videos on social media platforms.
It's a great camera to have as a tool in my tool belt.
I like to have minimal equipment with me I don't like to be bogged down with a lot of gear so this whole system is very minimal and in the past when I was filming Outdoors for YouTube I would still use my iPhone which is what I'm filming on right now but that meant me bringing along a tripod
