I also found that this lens has excellent fringing control whereas certainly both longit particularly longitudinal style chromatic aberrations were an obvious issue on the 50mm f1.4 as you can see in this comparison here.
This also has much lower fringing and whereas the 50mm f1.4 4 does struggle with particularly longitudinal style chromatic aberrations.
