get into how it performs in the field build quality is always a bit hard to define but based on my time with this lens it seems like it's every bit as durable as nikon's big primes and more robust than the 300 or 500 pf lenses it certainly seems rugged enough to keep up with the kind of abuse
me a couple of weeks of work but as usual this is a totally independent review the lens's body is made of a mixture of metal and plastic in order to keep the weight down and it's very well wether sealed around its Mount and in other places too you can also see here that there is space for Nikon's
The lens is obviously extremely wellb built.
