Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art II: Chromatic Aberration

At F1.4, you will notice a slight amount of longitudinal chromatic aberration.

By incorporating new glass materials that were previously difficult to process, together with four high-precision aspherical elements and two SLD glass elements, the lens thoroughly suppresses aberrations, particularly axial chromatic aberration, which is often prominent in large-aperture lenses.

Coloured fringing perhaps isn’t as fully avoided as it could be, with some red edges around very high contrast transitions – like tangles of branches against a bright sky or a back-lit window.
