Super useful if subject detection is on and there's like a competing subject in the frame, you can just limit it to one part of the frame.
It has real-time recognition AF plus, which is what Sony calls it, with better overall subject tracking.
The autofocus is not even a question anymore, except for when you shoot with Nikon or other systems.
