Optical Performance

“is very sharp with good contrast let's now look at the corner of the image quite soft at f 3.5 let's now close the aperture at 5.6 and we see a small improvement but for good sharpness in the corners we have to close all the way to f8 stopping now at f11 and due to diffraction the image started” — Aperture Atlas
Build Quality

“i think it was around maybe up until about the time of the m3 when they changed to the 15 to 45 all plastic kit lens i think often the kit lens gets a bad rap because of its build quality and its plastic mount i think one of the big complaints is that it's not sharp but how soft” — Mark Wiemels

“enough we see some very gentle Barrel Distortion again where you'd expect to see some pin cushion Distortion there's much less vignetting though at 45 mm let's see about close-up IM quality the lens can focus as closely as 25 cm which is pretty close but other than that it's quite a poor show…” — Christopher Frost

Bokeh

“f/8 so if this lens it maybe that the old rule of staying at f/8 doesn't apply when you're a focal length of 45 millimeter because what I'm actually seeing is a better image quality f-16 than f/8 the bokeh effect of having a very narrow depth of field and very smooth out of focus points in the…” — Phil UK Net
